COVID-19 Precautions
At the Westport Headache Institute, our team has been hard at work to implement a robust system of sanitation and hygiene, as well as step-by-step process to ensure we meet your needs in a safe and focused manner that is in accordance with CDC and Connecticut government guidelines. To keep our guests and staff safe, we ask the following:
- All clients must arrive to appointments alone and wear masks/proper facial covering while inside that covers your mouth and nose. Please continue to wear your mask at all times unless treatment requires otherwise. Our staff will also be wearing face masks.
- All clients will be screened for COVID-19 symptoms by phone the day before their visit.
- We ask that you stay in your vehicle or outside the building once you have arrived and that you come at your appointment time, not earlier. Our front desk staff will welcome you upon arrival and take your temperature with a non-contact forehead thermometer. If elevated (100.0+ degrees Fahrenheit), or you have other symptoms of the coronavirus, we will happily reschedule your appointment.
- We will gather patient medical information using a electronic HIPAA-compliant patient forms to minimize paperwork.
- We will gather payment information at the time of booking to allow for a safe, touchless payment transaction.
- All clients and staff will adhere to safe social distancing precautions upon entering the Westport Headache Institute.
In addition to our stringent sanitation protocols to ensure a safe and continually disinfected environment, we are:
- Screening all staff members prior to their work day.
- Opening our outdoor patio during non-inclement weather to allow meetings in a non-enclosed space, depending on patient preference
- Adhering to social distancing guidelines, including fewer clients and staff in the office.
- Providing hand sanitizer upon arrival and in treatment rooms.
- Thoroughly disinfecting all areas both in the mornings and at night, as well as in between patients using medical-grade disinfectants.
If you have had respiratory symptoms including cough and/or fever with or without shortness of breath or any flu symptoms within the last 14 days or if you answered ‘YES’ to any of the phone screening questions, we will reschedule your appointment for 2 weeks or later.
